Strategy: Strengthen and maintain our Environmental Management System.
In 2005/2006 we made significant improvements to our health, safety and environmental (HSE) management system, Life Guard.  Following on from these changes, the strategy for 2006/2007, was a year for consolidation and implementation of the new system.

  Critical systems audits and reviews were undertaken in all parts of the business during 2006/2007.  With the changes to personnel during the year, we reviewed and consolidated the membership of our Senior HSE management team and our business HSE committees.

 

In mid 2007 we will commence full HSE management system audits against the upgraded system.  Subsequent audit recommendations and implementation of actions are followed through our HSE management committees. These audits will also include the newly acquired Torrens Island Power Station in South Australia.
